At her tomb, a distraught little child wept because he couldn't envision life without his mother. He was startled when he felt a woman's hand abruptly touch his shoulder.
Kevin's mother passed away in an accident when he was just six years old. He never met his father and had no other family members who would have taken him in, so he has lived in an orphanage ever since.

The tiny child disliked being an orphan. He would fantasize nonstop about how his mother would take him out of there and back into her home one day. The other kids would make fun of him and make jokes about how his mother had passed away and he would never see her again.

Kevin, you have to accept the reality. You will never see your mother again; she is no longer with us. One of his roommates would tell him to "stop being a baby."

The kids would taunt Kevin more because he would cry all day. "You really are a cry baby. They would remark, "No one is going to want to adopt you."
The orphanage kids were given permission to go for a walk outside one day in a neighboring park. Kevin bolted from them while they were having fun, running straight toward the municipal cemetery and never turning around.

Kevin had vowed to see his mother often, and he knew where she was buried. He hasn't been able to fulfill his pledge, though, because the orphanage hardly let them leave.

He sat there sobbing as he saw his mother's grave. "Mom, I really miss you. He cried, "Please, take me with you. "This place has nothing for me."
A few moments later, Kevin was startled to feel a hand on his shoulder. He looked back after wiping his eyes. A stunning woman stood there, seemingly glowing due to the sunlight's rays falling on her. "Dear boy, why are you crying? "Are you okay?" she inquired.

"My mother is no longer with me. "I miss her," Kevin sadly answered.
"My dear, I'm sad to hear that. "Where are you now living?" inquired the woman.
"In the foster home," Kevin informed her.

Sitting next to Kevin, the woman introduced herself as Susan. "I go to the cemetery to pay respects to my son's grave," she disclosed.

When Kevin heard her name, his eyes grew wide. With a beaming smile, he exclaimed, "That's my mother's name, too!"

Grinning, the woman escorted Kevin back to the orphanage. On the way back, the woman noticed a little amusement park and asked if he wanted to visit. With excitement, Kevin nodded his head.

Kevin enjoyed eating ice cream with Susan and going on the carousel. When they were through, Susan escorted him back to the orphanage and bid him farewell. "My dear, you are loved by your mother. Never question that," she remarked as she turned to go.

Susan went to church that evening and prayed for Kevin to be adopted by a loving family. She abruptly had an odd dream after going to bed.

She received a note in her dream from her late son Adam that said, "443 Washington Street." Her son said to her before she woke up, "Mom, please, take me with you."

Susan had this dream several times in a week. Concerned about the possible implications, Susan told her husband everything.

It's rather peculiar, my dear. In my dream, Adam is giving me a note with a specific address. "Take him with me," he keeps telling me," she remarked.
What might that signify? "What is Adam attempting to convey to you?" inquired her spouse Richard.
"I don't know, but ever since I met this little kid at the graveyard named Kevin, I've been having the same dream. I took him to the orphanage because he told me he lived there when he was seeing his mother," she clarified.

Susan made the decision to go to the address from her dreams with Richard. That being said, 443 Washington Street was located in their city.

Susan was shocked to see the orphanage where she had taken Kevin for a walk a few days earlier when they arrived at the address.

Susan saw Kevin seated by the ground floor window right away. Telling her husband that it was Kevin that she had met in the graveyard, she pointed him out.
"My dear, what are you doing there?" Susan questioned the young child, who was staring intently up at the sky.
The small boy said, "I'm praying that my mother will take me from here."

After exchanging glances, Susan and Richard understood exactly what they intended to do. They made the decision to adopt Kevin and did everything within their power to ensure that he had a happy existence.

The fact that someone was considering adopting Kevin startled him. Finding out that it was Susan and her husband Richard that desired to do so only made him happier.

One day, after dinner, Kevin told Susan and Richard, "God answered my prayers." He grinned and said, "My mom did take me away from the orphanage, and now I'm here with my family."

"My prayers were also answered by God, my love. I went to church that day and prayed that you would find a loving home when I first met you. I'm happy that we became your family even though I didn't realize it at the time. She held Kevin's hand and grinned, saying, "Thank you for giving us an opportunity.
