Believing and accepting what God has done for us through faith transforms our life from the moment we believe. By faith, we accept God's love for us, which serves as the foundation for our Christian identity.

1. Ephesians 2: 8-10​

For you have been saved by grace, through faith — and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift — not by works, so that no one may boast. For we are God's workmanship, made in Christ Jesus to do good works that God had planned in advance for us to perform.

2. Hebrews 11:1–3​

Faith is now defined as trust in what we hope for and assurance in what we cannot see. This is what the ancients were praised for.
By faith, we realize that the cosmos was created at God's direction, and that what we see was not created from what was visible.

3. Hebrews 10:22–23. Let us approach God with a sincere heart and the complete assurance that faith provides, having our hearts sprinkled to purify us of a guilty conscience and washing our bodies with pure water. Let us hold fast to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

God welcomes us based on our faith, and our salvation is assured! But there's more good news: God isn't finished yet. A follow-up miracle occurs when God begins to change our hearts. Because of the joy of our personal salvation, we begin to share the love we've experienced with others, and the Bible also provides direction on faith-motivated love.

6. James 2:14–17​

What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not act upon it? Can such faith save them? Assume a brother or sister is without clothing and daily food. What good is it if one of you tells them, "Go in peace; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing to address their physical needs?

Similarly, faith is meaningless unless it is accompanied by action.

7. James 1:2–4​

Consider it pure delight, dear brothers and sisters, when you endure various trials, because you know that testing your faith promotes perseverance. Allow perseverance to accomplish its work so that you can be mature and complete, wanting nothing.

8. I Thessalonians 1:3​
