What is faith?
Simply put, faith is believing in God and trusting His plan, even if you don't understand or see it. Faith, as applied to our lives, is more than just a feeling; it is a way of living. We live out our faith by obeying God and performing acts of service.When looking for ways to capture and live in faith, the Bible is the best source of guidance.
Hebrews 11:1. Faith is now defined as trust in what we hope for and assurance in what we cannot see.
(Eph. 3:16-17) I hope that out of his wonderful riches, he may strengthen you with power via his Spirit in your inner being, allowing Christ to dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you will be planted and anchored in love.
2 Corinthians 5:7. For we live by faith and not by sight.
(Heb. 11:6) And it is impossible to please God without faith, for anybody who approaches to him must believe in his existence and that he rewards those who seek him earnestly.
(John 11:40) Then he responded: "Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?"
(James 1:3) Because you understand that testing your faith generates endurance.
(1 Peter 1:8–9) Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and wonderful joy, because you are getting the ultimate fruit of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
(Mark 9:23) "'If you can'?" Jesus asked. "Everything is possible for one who believes."
(John 11:25-26) Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life."
The one who believes in me will live even if they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. "Do you believe this?"
(Romans 14:1.) Accept the one whose faith is weak without arguing about disputed issues.
(Matthew 21: 22) If you believe, you will get what you ask for in prayer.
(Mark 10:52) "Go," answered Jesus; "your faith has healed you." He immediately received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
(John 6:35) Then Jesus said, "I am the bread of life." Whoever comes to me will not go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never thirst."
(Heb. 11:11) Even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was able to bear children through faith because she believed him to be loyal in making the promise.
(Romans 1:17). For the gospel reveals God's righteousness—a righteousness based on faith from beginning to end, as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
Galatians 3:26-27 So, in Christ Jesus, you are all God's children by faith, because everyone who was baptized into Christ has clothed themselves with Christ.
(John 3:16) For God loves the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that whomever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
(James 5: 14-15) Is anyone here sick? Let them summon the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick person; the Lord will raise them up. If they had sinned, they would be pardoned.
Matthew 17:20. He responded, "Because you have such little trust. If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
(John 6:29) Jesus responded, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."
(John 7:38) According to Scripture, those who trust in me will experience rivers of live water flowing from inside.
(Romans 10:11.) According to the Bible, "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame."
(John 20:29) Afterwards, Jesus responded: "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
(Luke 8:50) Hearing this, Jesus told Jairus, "Don't be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed."
(1 John 5:5) Who overcomes the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
(Romans 5:1). As a result of our faith-based justification, we now have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(Mark 11:24) I assure you that you can pray for anything and believe that you have received it.
(James 1:6) But when you ask him, make certain that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with split devotion is as unstable as a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
(Phil 4:6-7) Don't worry about anything; rather, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and praise him for what he's done. Then you will experience God's peace, which is beyond our understanding. His peace will keep your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Proverbs 3:5–6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your pathways straight.
