Bedtime Prayer (Inspired by Genesis 1:8)
Genesis 1:8 – "God called the expanse 'sky.' And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day."
Heavenly Father,
As I prepare to rest tonight, I am reminded of Your power and wisdom in creation. You stretched out the sky above, setting everything in perfect order. Just as You brought balance to the heavens, bring balance and peace into my heart and mind.
Lord, as the day turns into night, I surrender all my thoughts, worries, and burdens to You. Just as You are in control of the sky above, You are in control of my life. I trust You with everything—my hopes, my fears, and my future.
Thank You for bringing me through this day. Whether it was easy or difficult, joyful or challenging, I know that You have been with me through it all. I ask that as I sleep, You renew my strength and fill me with peace. Let Your presence cover me like the vast sky, and may my rest be deep and restoring.
Father, protect me and my loved ones through the night. Send Your angels to watch over us, and let Your love surround my home. When I wake in the morning, may I rise with gratitude, ready to embrace a new day filled with Your grace and guidance.
I rest in the truth that You are always near, always watching, and always loving me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
