Tim Walz starts off by mentioning the October 7 bombings on Israel by Hamas and asking us to "remember where it all started." According to him, Israel's capacity for self-defense is "absolutely fundamental." Wales added that former Trump administration officials have referred to him as "the most flawed man" and that Trump's national security advisers and defense secretary have "said he should not go anywhere near the White House." Wales stated that stable leadership is essential in this uncertain time in the Middle East.

Since many Americans don't know who he is, J.D. Vance started his response by discussing his past.

Donald Trump, according to Vance, "consistently made the world a safer place" and understood as president that "peace is necessary through strength." He went on to say that Israel needs the US's assistance to help it do everything it takes to protect its national security. In response, Walz stated that Iran is now closer to nuclear weapons than it has ever been under Trump's administration.
