I am planning a trip to Spain and recently received my green card. I have a valid Spanish passport in addition to my Venezuelan passport, which has expired. I am originally from Venezuela. I would like to know if presenting my expiring Venezuelan passport with my green card will cause any problems or if using my Spanish passport, which lists Venezuela as my country of origin, would be preferable.
Furthermore, I am aware that, in my situation, Venezuelan passports that have expired are still valid for a maximum of five years after that date. I want to make sure, though, if there are any other prerequisites for this. In addition, I will be utilizing my Spanish passport to enter Europe.
