EAT THE WORD DEVOTIONAL
MAT 4:4: " Man shall not live by bread alone" Jeremiah 15:16:- " I found your words and ate them.."
DATE: 1ST OCT, 2024.
Main Text: Matthew 5:13 (NET) “You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its flavor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled on by people.
However delicious a food is prepared it is not tasty until a little salt is added to bring out the taste of the food. Salt is precious in making us enjoy meals, but apart from its saltiness salt is useful for nothing. We would have had no use for it, were it to have lost its saltiness.
EMPHASIS FOR REFLECTION:
In a similar vane, the righteousness of believers is what adds flavour to the life we live in this world. Without the righteousness of believers, there would be no difference between us and the ungodly and God would have no use for us.
Take Heed That: God desires perfection in men, that was why Jesus had to come and pay the ultimate price of our sins to restore us to righteousness and faith in God.
Romans 6:1-3 (NET) What shall we say then? Are we to remain in sin so that grace may increase? Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Or do you not know that as many as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, as I desire and pursue your righteousness help me to achieve perfection by your spirit. Amen!
God bless you today and always for eating The everlasting bread with me.
Remember that a living dog is better than a dead lion. With life there is hope. Keep striving and also pray, you will surely get there.
