In September, I cut the cord with AT&T Uverse TV. I connected to the internet via Wi-Fi and began streaming. Recently, I've been experiencing the LG error code "check internet connection -106". I tried all of the offered treatments from several websites, including LG. The only thing I haven't done yet is reset the television to factory specifications.

The previously mentioned error code appears only after turning off the television and then turning it back on the next morning. So I'm not sure why being turned off overnight would have any significance. The only other thing I believe could be an issue is that the modem is around 50 feet from the television.

Perhaps the signal isn't as strong as it should be?

My ISP is AT&T, and I have Fiber 300. I verified my upload and download speeds, and they are well within the restrictions. I've heard about devices that claim to improve Wi-Fi, but I'm suspicious.

Does anyone have any ideas or solutions? I could make a wired connection, but it would require wiring a cable from the television to the modem through the basement.
