BEING OBEDIENT TO THE WORD OF GOD
When we say being obedient to the word of God, remember John 1 let's us understand that In The beginning was the word and the word was with God and God was the word.Downward of the verse let's us know the word became flesh and we beheld his glory which is the person of Jesus Christ
Now back to our topic being obedient to the word is indicating obedience to the word In flesh(JESUS CHRIST) and the writing word(HOLY BIBLE)
According to Hebrew 1 from 1 to end, it explains that Jesus Christ the son of God is Superior to the angel, that's why we must allow Christ to grow in us by being obedient to his words,by being obedient to his commandments,by being obedient to his rules and regulations he has given us.
Yes Jesus Christ came to give us free salvation, liberty, freedom and more, but it doesn't end there, truly we're not slaves to sin anymore but remember we are slaves to righteousness.
Ephesians 4:22
21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.
22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds;
24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Let's understand this There's no way we can get rid of our old self without obeying the commandments (written words) of Christ (word in flesh)
So what's the commandments of Jesus Christ ?

3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.

Remember the time and the season we're, it's very obvious we're at the end time and Romans 12:2 warn us that
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
