The clock on my HP laptop (quartz?) is off.
The device initially behaved very slowly, then at random recovered for a few seconds before returning to its previous extremely slow behavior. After testing several OSs, I was able to determine that even the BIOS's self-diagnostic checks were sluggish. As a result, my only remaining theory is that the CPU clock signal is malfunctioning. Not even able to access the console.
I would appreciate any assistance.
