AN INSTRUCTED SCRIBE.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26.
The Holy Spirit is the ultimate author of the Bible. He is the one who inspired the holy men of old to write the Scripture. Having him as our teacher is a great privilege. The Bible is not like any story book; every single verse and sentence on the pages carries the mysteries of God. The Holy Spirit’s primary role is to teach the believers the spiritual truths embedded in the Scripture.
When listening to a sermon, the Holy Spirit can teach you in a moment what the pastor is teaching and far beyond. Further more, He can reveal hidden nuances and revelations that even the prophets and the apostles may have not have fully grasped during their time. He gives you insight into the things that even the original writers of the Scripture may not have fully understood.
As you minister the Word, the Holy Spirit makes the scriptures come alive in your mouth with clarity and depth, as if the words were penned by your own hand. What a privilege it is to have this great teacher! How could a believer fail to understand the scripture when they have the author resident in them? It’s utterly impossible. Simply yield to Him and allow Him to take you through His curriculum.
PRAYER
Dear father, I am grateful for the honor of being instructed by the author of the Bible. I am privileged to gain insights into truths that have been concealed for ages and generations. From my altar shall emanate sound doctrine both ancient and modern as always. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN.
