Greetings,

I am in the process of selling an estate collection of coins and money. In addition to various national banknotes, we have fifteen large banknotes. Although they seem to be in good condition, the majority of them show noticeable fold marks. I'm thinking of having PCGS grade a few of them.

Regarding cash, may I inquire when it is deemed "Genuine" or cleaned? According to what I've read, coin dealers would place books or other large, flat objects on bills to remove creases and wrinkles. Would a bill be considered "Genuine" under this procedure? Have cleaning agents ever been applied to cash in an attempt to make it appear more immaculate?

I'm attempting to decide whether it's worthwhile to pay $40 for each bill in order to get it graded.

I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions you may have in advance.
