What is Faith ?
Faith is the substance or assurance of things we hope for, but have not yet received.

Faith (confidence, belief, trust) is also our evidence of that which is not seen—the invisible spiritual things.

Faith comes before a prayer is answered or before an individual has received what he or she has requested from God. If we have received what we asked for, then faith is not needed.

According to Hebrews 11:1, Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

THE WAY OF FAITH IS THE CHRIST WAY, BRINGING US TO A PLACE WHERE THERE'S ALWAYS AN AMEN ?IN OUR HEARTS TO THE WILL OF GOD.

Without Faith, it is impossible to please God because His ways and doings are far beyond human understanding and comprehension.

Some Biblical Examples of those who exercised faith:

- Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego [Daniel 3:1-30]

- Noah [Genesis chapters 6-8]

- Job [Job chapters 1-42]

- Daniel [ Daniel 6:1-28]

We all have been through negative and positive experiences, but they have shaped us for the better. Having survived them, our outlook of life might have changed. The underlying factors that allows us all to overcome difficult times is the force of faith. Having faith allows you to gain these benefits:

With faith, you feel as though you are not alone.

2. Faith teaches you give back and serve the less fortunate.

Helping others in anyway will positively impact your life for the better.

3. Faith allows you to be selfless and put others first.

Treat others as you would like to be treated.

4. Faith can help you to discover your purpose in life.

Passion and daily action can lead to a purposeful life. If you don’t have passion or daily action, you are missing the drive to living a meaningful life.

It gives you a sense of tranquility while living in a dangerous world.

Sometimes we feel lost, but faith helps us stay anchored knowing that everything will be okay.

Spirituality can help you understand and highlight of your qualities through self-actualization. Personal reflection and meditation through prayer will help you see life in its entirety.
"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

" Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God." Hebrews 3:12 (NLT)

' Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!”John 20:27( NLT)

The Bible warns against not having faith in God.

- Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. This type of reasoning turns us into enemy's of God.

- The person who doubts God is an easy tool in Satan's hand's, so it is impossible to please God without faith.

- Without faith a person cannot be established in ministry , business , marriage "... Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm.”Isaiah 7:9 (NLT)

- Putting faith aside results in a shipwreck ."Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked."
1 Timothy 1:19 (NLT)

The word "shipwreck" is the Greek word nauageō which means to be 'stagnant ' a stagnant christian is devoid of the fruits and gifts of the holy ghost.

- Lack of faith deprives a persons from partaking in God's promises ,the scriptures says "And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him? So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest." Hebrews 3:18‭-‬19 (NLT) and " ...the Lord destroyed them that believe not (Jude 5).

All things are possible to all who believe .We should always pray for increase in our faith ( Luke 17:5, Mk 9:24).

Can we say this prayer - Father grant me the grace to rely solely on you as I progress in this journey of faith.
