The Beginning
1. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.I've stated repeatedly that Genesis and the creation theory were both valid scientific theories, albeit maybe not in that order.
Day One: Let There Be Light | The universe was formed by the Big Bang.
Second Day: God created the world | Material leftover from the Big Bang formed the molten Earth
Day 3: Allow the Dry Land and the Waters to Appear As the earth cooled, parts of it were submerged under water, forming continents.
God created the sun, stars, and moon on the fourth day. In actuality, the Sun and Stars were formed immediately following the Big Bang.
On the fifth day, God created fish, birds, and all other animals. Life began in the sea.
A few marine species made the transition from sea to land, including birds.
Sixth Day: Man was made in the image of God; humans descended from other animals.
God rested on the seventh day | Whoa! And I would rest.
Problems:
How long was a day if God created the Sun on the Fourth Day? The Bible makes no mention of a day being 24 hours long. It could have been millions of years every day. The days were measured in 24 hours after the appearance of man. Given that the days before this one were not 24 hours long, there may have been a longer duration. Therefore, it's possible that the Days were a geological period.
The order of the days is the only thing that differs between the Bible and the Science.
It should have been the second day since the Sun, Stars, and Moon were created on the fourth day. Furthermore, the Moon ought to have formed on the same day as the World.
With the exception of the birds being created after the other animals, the Fifth Days are nearly exactly in order.
And lastly, the topic of evolution has always been discussed. I think God creates through evolution.
