STAND YOUR GROUND (1)

EXODUS 8:25-28
25 Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God here in the land.” 26 But Moses said, “That would not be right. The sacrifices we offer the LORD our God would be detestable to the Egyptians. And if we offer sacrifices that are detestable in their eyes, will they not stone us? 27 We must take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the LORD our God, as he commands us.” 28 Pharaoh said, “I will let you go to offer sacrifices to the LORD your God in the wilderness, but you must not go very far. Now pray for me.”

MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:
"Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, Go sacrifice to your God here in the land" (Exodus 8:25 KJV).

Sometimes when Satan discovers that you are too determined not to be stopped, he seeks a compromise. The end of every compromise is to accommodate the other person. In the secular world and domestic affairs a middle ground where both parties lose some ground in other to compromise can be welcomed as a means of establishing peace and tolerance. However, in the spiritual arena it is not so. God demands absolute and complete compliance to His ways and His Word.

Your blessing as a child of God is in total obedience and compliance to His Will. Saul the first king of Israel lost his kingdom simply because he tried to modify an instruction to please the people and also suit his ego.

He was asked to destroy the Amalekites and all that they had. Even children that would later grow up to re-establish the kingdom were to be killed.

Rather than follow God's instruction to the later, Saul listened to the people and spared some of the animals for sacrifice, he even brought Agag the king of Amalek home to display his power. This caused him the continuity of his dynasty. Whatever Satan is asking you to overlook has a serious spiritual implication, if not, he will not be interested in it.

Pharaoh didn't want the children of Israel to leave the land of Egypt. He wanted them to remain in the land of captivity while serving the Lord. This is exactly what is happening to many Christians today. They are serving the Lord inside Egypt. They don't want to separate themselves from the tradition of the land and ungodly social circle because they don't want to offend Pharaoh. Your complete victory and freedom is in obeying the voice of the Lord. Compromise is a dangerous game because you will lose valuable grounds of destiny impact.

TURNING POINT:
_Whatever Satan is asking you to overlook has a serious spiritual implication, if not, he will not be interested in it._

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father help me to shun compromise no matter how subtle the enemy present it in Jesus name. Amen.
