A miracle is an uncommon occurrence that is thought to be the product of supernatural action and cannot be explained by natural or scientific rules. I adore a good story about a miracle. Reading a Bible tale or hearing a testimony about God displaying His glory is the best way to make me excited.

Moments when Heaven's strength pierces the ground are called miracles.

God's fingerprints on the history books are miracles.

Miracles show the "divine agency" of the One who really makes the decisions and who is in control.

The existence of a world beyond our visual perception is demonstrated by miracles.

Jesus entered the world to save us from sin and to mend our relationship with the Father. "Jesus’ miracles give us a sample of the meaning of redemption: a release of creation from the bonds of sin and evil and a reinstatement of creaturely living as intended by God," as Randy Alcorn correctly notes. He came to proclaim the coming of the Kingdom of God and the fact that trust in Him would grant entry to it.
Jesus' announcement of the Kingdom is one thing, but His actual revelation of it is another (Go check Luke 17:21).

How Christ's miracles revealed His Kingdom and hinted at a return to Eden is explained by Pastor Tim Keller:

Jesus came to mend the world where it is broken and to redeem where it is wrong. Not only do His miracles demonstrate His power, but they also provide as amazing previews of what He will accomplish with it. Our hearts are promised by Jesus' miracles.

His miracles, whether they involved healing a leper, walking on water, multiplying food to feed hundreds, resurrecting the dead, or granting sight to a blind man, were supernatural actions that demonstrated who He was and what He was here to do.

According to John 2, the first miracle happened at a wedding at Cana. Although there are few specifics, Jewish weddings were significant in biblical times. The groom's family ran out of wine during this specific wedding feast, which would have caused them great embarrassment. According to the Bible, Mary, Jesus' mother, wanted Him to correct the social error.

"My time has not come," Jesus retorted (John 2:4 NLT). Jesus understood that working a miracle has prophetic meaning. He was aware that the moment He displayed His magnificence, Israel's hopes for a Messiah would be dashed and He would become the center of attention.

The question that has to be asked is: Why did John disclose this miracle out of the hundreds that he saw Jesus perform? Every miracle recorded in John's Gospel serves as evidence of Jesus' identity. However, the new covenant was vividly represented by this particular miracle.

This wonder represents the metamorphosis of the human heart. In an effort to attain purity, the people utilized the water jars for purification rites under the old covenant, constantly washing their hands and dining utensils. Cleaning the exterior, however, did not alter the essence of the human heart, as we have seen. A little grace is what the human heart needs—a miracle!
