Hi everyone,

Three of my friends and their families intend to start an IT business in Canada under the SUV program with the goal of eventually becoming permanent residents. They all run their own businesses back home and are experts in their industries.

Finding a Designated Organization to submit a letter of support so they may first apply for a work permit is one of the essential facts I assist with regarding the SUV program. The present and new regulations, however, only permit ten projects per DO annually.

I have a question.

1. Do they all need to receive a direct payment of some kind? What are the fees used for?

And what kinds of assistance or support do DOs provide in this SUV program, apart from writing Letters of Support?

Stated differently, what is the purpose of the DOs?

2. Will DOs process applications in a priority order or on a first-come, first-served basis?

Our friend wants to work as an IT tech SUV.

3. Do all DOs support any particular fields?

For example, DO "A" supports businesses in the fields of engineering and information technology; DO "B" supports businesses in the field of agriculture, etc., or would any DO support all fields?

Thank you, and I'm looking forward for help from any BSF experience member here.

1. I assume business incubators when you say DO. Certain incubators may impose fees for the rental of their space for a predetermined amount of time. Others may impose fees for training courses, business setup expenses, and other things. An excellent incubator facilitates the founders' networking within the alumni network, provides training on labor, tax, and cross-border regulations, and offers other types of assistance. The majority of incubators will demand that their space be rented for a predetermined period of time.

2 and 3: Priority focus areas will be listed on the DO's websites. Their focus can also be inferred from their portfolio or alumni.

Given the new regulations that only permit 10 SUV submissions year per organization, the pertinent issue would be: Why should any DO endorse their company and give them a letter of support?

For instance, they might be curious about their present revenue. What is the item? (The word "IT" is quite general and might signify anything.) Does the company currently have any North American (US/CAN) clients? such things.

Additionally, it could be a good idea to get in touch with an SUV-specialized IRCC consultant or lawyer if they already have a business with US/CAN clients but are not physically located in Canada.

Cold emails from candidates outside of Canada will not be answered by any DO.
