There is dignity in labour, but there is hardly any prosperity in it. The reason a salary is sometimes called a living wage is because it is designed to make you live. It is not designed to make you thrive. Remember, Christ died for you to have the abundant John 10:10 life, not the redundant life! Do business until He returns!Scripture says "See a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings, not before MEAN men."-Proverbs 22:29. It is your Business that makes you stand before kings, not your job. Do you want to stand before Kings? Then diligently start a business, even if it is a side business.
Do not depend on your salary.Your salary is like a perfume. Perfumes cover bad smells, but they do not eliminate the bad odour. After a while, the pungent smell will resurface. Salary covers poverty, but it will not cure it. After a while, the poverty resurfaces. Only a bath removes smell and your own business has the capacity to permanently eradicate your poverty.
