I got pulled over by a policeman this morning when I was heading to my interview.
My companion was black, and I am a native American. I'm just saying.
This time, both brake lights decided to die.
He said, "Quickly," as he was heading to the car and I was gathering my belongings.
"You shouldn't stress over extracting anything. I would like to inform you that your brake lights are not working.
I recently had them changed, so I was upset right away. That was about a month ago.
I then told him about Firestone's request to bill me $600 for only testing the car's wiring.
With a look on his face, he instructed me to open the trunk.
He looked and tapped at the lights in the trunk, but nothing happened.
He then instructed me to get out and check the other relay box after telling me to pop the hood to check the first one.
Next, the wiring beneath the dash was worked on.
Officer Jenkins could have easily written me a ticket, but instead he took on the roles of mechanic and human to make sure I was telling the truth.
He, incidentally, fixed them. Nobody is a racist or a lousy police officer.
