We’ve been to NY a few times before the kids, but this was the first time with them (4yrs and 6yrs): it’s been just amazing. Everything went smooth, starting from the passport control at JFK (the immigration line for family was so unexpected) to the baggage claim (already collected by Delta at the belt) and then LIRR to GrandCentral (actually we went directly to Connecticut 5 days for Halloween and then we were back to NYC for 4 days).
Kids did great, not jet lag issues. They had a lot of fun. We managed to stay in the museum of natural history from 10:30 to closing time… they loved it.
They loved the Intrepid, and they liked the elevators at the Top of the Rock (but I have to say that it was a little spoiled by the big success we had with the hotel elevators.. 46th floor at the RIU plaza manhattan Times Square was really a great choice).
When is the next time?
